SAFETY FIRST

Consistent with government requirements, our Firm has adopted a remote work policy for all employees and staff. What does this mean?

  • All attorneys and staff are working remotely.

  • All attorneys have full remote work capabilities and are able to attend to client needs to the same extent they would working from out Downtown Utica offices.

  • All practice areas remain fully operational and ready to assist our clients with their legal needs.

  • Conferences and depositions may be completed remotely using Zoom, conference calls and similar technology.

WHAT CAN GLAP DO REMOTELY?

Our Firm is a regional leader in its response to this crisis. We have worked hard to implement several procedures to address our client needs during these difficult times. These include:

  • Remote Real Estate Closings;

  • Estate Planning Services, including health care documents, wills and powers of attorney;

  • Family Law Services and Orders of Protection;

  • Constant Legal Development Monitoring and Reporting for our Financial Services Clients;

  • Legal and Legislative Research Capabilities;

  • Litigation Discovery and Drafting Continuity Efforts; and

  • Creditor's Rights and Bankruptcy Remote Appearances.

ARE ANY SERVICES LIMITED?

As you may have heard, New York State Courts across the State are hearing only emergency matters. Trials have been postponed and Courthouses are closed to a great degree. All foreclosure and eviction proceedings are on hold statewide.

Currently, all law firms in New York State are limited in the type and scope of filing that can be made in most matters. Many deadlines and statutes of limitation have been cancelled or extended by Executive Order of the Governor.

We continue to prepare all litigation matters to the extent possible and to draft documents to hit the ground running as soon as the Courts are open. We also are continuing to accept new litigation matters.

Should you have specific questions about how we may be of service, please contact us at your convenience.
